A Message from the Ventura Police Chief

Welcome to the Ventura Police Department's website. Our site is divided into three main areas. The Chief’s Page contains information on our crime statistics, Police Activities League (PAL) foundation, Department history, and our three year strategic plan. Operations encompasses many of the more traditional police programs such as Traffic - Parking, SWAT, K9's, and information on our Community Problem Oriented Policing (CPOP) philosophy. The Services area includes information on many of the department’s ‘behind the scenes’ units, including Investigations, Communications (9-1-1) and Crime Prevention. Professional Standards is also located in this section and is responsible for recruitment and hiring, internal affairs, marketing, and audits and inspections.

I hope you enjoy our site and come back to visit often.   If there is something you would like to see added to our site, please contact our web-coordinator
